What is the Postpartum Monitoring Program?
The Postpartum Monitoring Program, offered through Babyscripts and your provider, is a blood pressure monitoring program for the initial postpartum period. The program is for moms with postpartum hypertension, or moms that may have hypertensive conditions after birth.
How long does the program last?
The program lasts for 16 days after you leave the hospital. Your hospital care team will enroll you at the time of discharge, and provide instructions on what to expect at home.
What do you do while on the program?
As part of the program, you'll be expected to:
- Check your blood pressure at least 2 times a day (for 16 days): once in the morning, and once in the evening.
Your care team will provide you with a blood pressure monitor to use at home. Every time you check your blood pressure, you'll record your readings in the Babyscripts myJourney app (under Health > Blood Pressure).
Will my care team be notified if any of my BP readings are abnormally high?
Yes. By recording your BP readings in the Babyscripts myJourney app, your care team can be automatically alerted if any of your readings are abnormally high.

How and when should I expect to hear from my care team if my BP readings are high?
Your care team will be monitoring patient blood pressures during your office's normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
- If you take an abnormal blood pressure reading during this time, your provider may be notified and may follow up with you directly.
- If you take an abnormal blood pressure reading outside of this timeframe, depending on the severity of the reading, your provider will be alerted immediately or the next business day.
Any time you are worried about a BP reading, you can always contact your provider's office directly. You can find their information under the Profile > Care Teams section of the app.
What if I forget to take a blood pressure reading?
Babyscripts will send you daily reminders to take your blood pressure: once in the morning, and once in the evening. If you miss a reading, simply pick back up on your next scheduled reading. If you miss three readings in a row, we'll send you another reminder text and your provider will be alerted.
